Intentionally Authentic Therapy

Counselling and psychotherapy for anyone seeking more authenticity, ease, self-acceptance and choice in their life.

My name is Zane (they/them), and I am a counsellor and psychotherapist. I also identify as queer, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent, and I bring this lived experience to my practice.

My mission is to support people to explore who they authentically are, find creative solutions to their challenges, and intentionally build a life that is personally meaningful, fulfilling and sustainable.

Whatever you are struggling with and whatever your challenges in living authentically are, Intentionally Authentic Counselling is a supportive and non-judgemental place for you to start exploring what you really want, overcoming your obstacles, and moving towards what matters to you in life.

Why go to therapy?

There are countless reasons for seeking out therapy. Being a human being is not easy, and we are not meant to go it alone. Most people can benefit from therapy at some point in their lives.

Maybe you are:

  • struggling with everyday life, needing support to move out of survival mode

  • living in cycles of overwhelm and exhaustion that you can’t seem to break out of

  • going through a big transition, or dealing with an unexpected change in life circumstances

  • feeling stuck and unsatisfied in life, wanting to change things and find a sense of direction

  • realising that there are things that happened in your past that you have not fully processed yet which might still be affecting  you

  • thinking that you could use support with navigating your neurodivergent brain

  • ready to talk to someone about things that you have been holding onto for a long time

You might have a specific issue/s that you want support with. Or maybe your motivation for therapy is a little more vague, but your intuition is telling you that things in your life could be better than they are.

Intentionally Authentic Counselling offers a warm, empathetic therapy space to explore what is going on for you and receive support that is tailored to you.

Therapy is an opportunity to explore what you want to explore. You can bring whatever you want to therapy. It is a space for you to get support processing your life experiences, your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, behaviours, wants, needs, goals, dreams, hopes for the future and anything else that feels relevant to you. 

Some of the things that therapy can offer you are knowing yourself more deeply, supporting you to get through difficult times, developing a more self-compassionate and supportive relationship with yourself, and improving your life in the ways that matter to you.

Ultimately, therapy is about you and what you want. Whatever your reasons are for seeking therapy, I encourage you to take the plunge and discover what therapy can offer you.
